Convention Fun

Hey Ya'll!
It's been a wild and crazy time here in sunny Salt Lake City! Thought I'd share a few pictures.

So many gorgeous cards and projects to gaze at...(wish I had a photographic memory!)

Here I am with two of Shelly's daughters...This company is really quite the family affair!

And this is one of my favorite things so far! Can't wait to get home and make these! They were done with Decor Elements "Spooky Things".

That's all for now, I'll post more later for you!
Stay cool!

Convention Swap

Hi all,
Just a quick post to show one of my Convention swaps. This one is for the "Swapping in you Jammies" event for Demo's staying here at the Marriott Hotel. This is a card front only.
I used Sahara Suede to mount the Top Note cut from Very Vanilla cardstock. For the stamped image I grouped So Saffron, Baha Breeze and Cherry Cobbler together using the Awash with Flowers set. Bitty Buttons and punches were used as well as linen thread...don't you just love the ribbon look of the DSP on the left? That's done using the new border punch we have! Forgive me for the lack of correct names but I don't have a catalog with me...I'll get one tomorrow when I check in for Convention and get my new bag!!!
Till later ... STAMP ON!!!

Crop for the Cure

Hey Friends,
Today I was a vendor at the Crop for the Cure scrapbooking event. It was held at the Power Center in Alexandria. We had a great time...Loretta Smith was the organizer and she did a great job. Everybody there had a good time. I did a make and take using the Hostess set Because I Care. I'll try to post a picture and info tomorrow. I'll be packing though because I'm heading to Salt Lake City for the Stampin' Up! Convention on Monday!!!!! Too excited for words...:)
Off to rest!

Hi Crafters,

This is a card that I was inspired to make after looking at so many beautiful creations. The textured background idea was seen on Ann Schach's blog here. I'm sure I'm only one of the many stalkers she has (haha). Anyway...here are the supplies used:
Stamps: Because I Care (Level 1 Hostess), Elements of Style
Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black and Whisper White cardstock
Ink: Cherry Cobbler Classic and Black Stazon (love that stuff!!)
Accessories: Black Satin Ribbon, Large Oval Punch, Scallop Oval, Vanilla Shimmer Smootch Spritz and my newest favorite...the Square Lattice Embossing Folder! Sticky Strip, Dimensionals and Snail secured it all.
I stamped the design first and then embossed the paper...too cool and way easy! The ribbon is staying put with Sticky Strip applied first and gently folded into place.
Thanks for looking & See you later!

Just a Little Note

Here's a card I made using three of the new colors in the new 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog. I think Cherry Cobbler may just be my favorite (at least today)! The stamp set I used is a Level 2 Hostess Set called Apple Blossoms. You can earn this set FREE with a $300 workshop or order. I used the new Color Coach to come up with the color combination of Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight and Early Espresso...yummy!

Stamps: Apple Blossoms (Hostess Set)

Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Daffodil Delight and Naturals White

Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso & Daffodil Delight Classic Pads, Early Espressor Stampin' Write Marker

Accessories: Gold Brads, Linen Thread, Word Window Punch, Spritzer, Dimensionals and Sponge Daubers.

Thanks for looking!
Till next time...
